Update on Kathy Bundy – 9March22

Good evening Everyone,

Here are some more updates on Kathy.

Please recall that Monday night Nando and his Dad Gilbert were at Scouts. I did talk with Gilbert for a few minutes and he did let me know that Kathy continues to improve, especially her speech.

Some of you have already heard this, but he said that she had two surgeries, one of the blood clot in her leg and the other in her brain. He said that she was getting feeling back in her right arm.

I called her this afternoon and left a message. Tonight she called me back and her speech was very clear. I could hear every word plainly, in spite of the TV on in the background and nurses coming in and talking. Kathy was pronouncing every letter of every word distinctly.

I asked about her arm and leg, and she said that she is getting back function in her right hand but not the arm yet. I pointed out that everything has to learn to work again and her progress is probably better than average. She did say that she might be coming back to Abilene in about 10 days, and was concerned about mobility. She asked me to say hello to all of you.

When she called back tonight, I had been teaching a class at church so I wasn’t able to talk long, but it was obvious that she was very much improved. Thank you Lord!!
