Flag Ceremony – Saturday 4JUL20, at Heritage Parks

Hey Troop 3!!
Hope you are having a good summer!!!
Troop 3 has been asked to provide the Flag ceremony for the First Annual 4th of July Celebration at the Heritage Parks community.

We will need to arrive at 8:30 A.M., Saturday 4JUL20, at Heritage Parks on Hwy 351. Come in the main entrance (Liberty Blvd), then come down to the first RIGHT turn. Look for Myron’s truck. Call Myron ((three 2 five) 4 five 5 – zero 0 four 7) if you need help, or get lost, or have questions. The Scouts that told Mr. C that they would be there are: Rowdy, Jayvin, Alex (I will already have Jayvin from Flag Route). Jacob Renfro will be the Acting Scoutmaster.

We need at least five Scouts for the Flag ceremony (two honor guards, one Flag bearer, one caller, and the Troop 3 flag bearer). Rides home can be arranged.

We will hold several practice runs.

Troop 3 will be in full uniform, Scout shirt, T3 neckerchief, T3 cap, LONG pants (dark blue/black jeans, or khaki, WITH a belt). Merit bade sashes if you have one, be prepared to explain what the badges are, and how you earned them, as there MAY be a meet and greet after the Flag ceremony.

Food is planned to be served!!!

As Troop 3 Scouts, we know you will be on your best behavior. Well, except maybe Mr. Myron…. keep an eye on him! Parents are welcome to stay; you may want to bring a chair.

The ceremony will go on even if the weather is not perfect, unless there are thunderstorms.
