2019 Summer Camp Final Information

Thursday (13JUN19 @ 8:30PM)
Conference call with SM, CC & SPL, if needed for any last minute updates or changes.

Saturday (15JUN19 @ 10:00 AM)
Bring all gear to Myron’s house for check in and loading in Troop trailer. Will also load the Troop gear in the trailer. Will have any last minute changes and updates then. Will be done between 11:00 – 11:30 AM. All Scouts plan on staying until released.

Sunday (16JUN19 @ 1:00 PM)
Meet at SPUMC in Class “A” uniform to load and leave for Camp Billy Gibbons. It is 140 miles to camp, and we need to be there by 3:15ish PM.
Once at camp and checked in, will do medical rechecks and swim test. Then set up camp.

Monday (17JUN19 @ 6:30AM to Saturday 22Jun19 @ ??:?? ?M)
If you are taking First Aid MB – bring your homemade hiking first aid kit (Req. 5a) and be prepared to defend your selections of items, and know what they are used for. This includes ALL First Year Campers (FYC – TTA).
FYC – TTA – Look at your handout and bring all the gear listed on the Wednesday Hike/Cookout/Campout section. This is in addition to the gear on the back of your gear checklist.
If you re on prescription meds – Refusal to take your meds, of failure to take your meds (including not showing up to get your meds) is grounds for removal from camp. It is not the Health Officer’s job to hunt you down to give you your meds.

Saturday (2JUN19 @ ?:?? PM)
Meet @ ____ to unload Troop trailer and unload personal gear. Will phone blast as the Troop nears home.

Sunday (23JUN19 @ ??:?? ?M)
No Troop activities planned!!!!!!

Monday (24JUN19 @ 7:00PM)
No Scout meeting this week!!!

One Saturday afternoon/evening in July
We will have our Summer Camp Court of Honor, one Saturday in July. Unknown at this time exactly when. Will be at SPUMC Wesley Hall. Format will be Sandwiches and Salads. More info will be available after we get all the summer camp MB info in and tabulated.
